Measuring breast cancer control

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and second leading cause of death among women in Canada. Although the incidence rates for breast cancer have remained stable for the last several years, there has been a significant decline in mortality rate. This improvement likely reflects the impact of breast cancer screening and early detection efforts, as well as advances in diagnosis and treatment.
